Harari National Regional State

National Flag Day was celebrated throughout Ethiopia on July 5, 2008.  The historic and colorful event was the first ever to be celebrated in the nation.

In the Harari National Regional State, the event was celebrated at the 'Imam Ahmed' stadium in the presence of thousands of local residents, senior government officials, members of the defense forces, as well as various members of the community in the Region State.

The Harari National League held a Town Hall meeting with Hararis who reside in Addis Ababa on March 16^th, 2008.  A delegation from Harar, which was lead by the President of the Harari National Regional State, H.E. Murad Abdulhadi, arrived in Addis for the meeting.

Nationwide regional elections will be held across the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on Sunday April the 13^th. Campaigning for elections is in full swings across the nation, as well as in the Harari National Regional State.

The Harari National League is fielding 862 candidates for various posts within the Regional State.

Harar - The Harari National League (HNL) established a Youth League on March 22^nd, 2008.  Several dignitaries, including the President of the Harari National Regional State, were present during the official inauguration ceremony of the Youth League at the Harari Cultural Center.
